About KEDC


Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation was formed in 1984 to promote economic and community development in Kosciusko County. KEDC assists local companies and communities in obtaining grants for economic development. We work hard to help ensure quality communities and quality jobs for area residents.

Our mission is to promote economic development in Kosciusko County through the retention and expansion of existing business and industry, while attracting new business investments that compliment the improvement of the quality of life.

 

Select KEDC Accomplishments:

 

  • 2010 Provided assistance to three new businesses to locate in county (Greatbatch Medical, Miller Consulting Group, and Level 3 Inspections).
  • 2010 Provided assistance to Biomet, Inc. for incentives for expansion.
  • 2010 Coordinated county-wide Community Conversation with the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, and Ball State to educate and involve county residents and leaders in the future economic and community development of the county.
  • 2010 Received county/city/towns support to expand KEDC and hire the first full-time Executive Director.
  • 2010 Coordinated with other county organizations/communities to market the county as business friendly at the OrthoTec Expo.
  • 2008 Provided assistance to OrthoPediatrics to expand in stay in Warsaw.
  • 2008 KEDC Retension and Expansion committee assisted BDI Engineering with future expansion.
  • 2007 Received a grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation to assist with 1st Annual Business Expo.
  • 2006/07 Awarded the a economic development grant (CDAG) to expand services in the county.
  • 2006/07 Awarded Indiana Council Grant (IRDC) to establish revolving loan program for small businesses.
  • 2006 Provided assistance to the Louis Dreyfus Corp. to locate Biofuel plant in Claypool.
  • 2004 Provided assistance to Symmetry Medical Inc. for the new Design & Development Center.
