KEDC ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Recent grants, programs, and projects
KEDC has provided technical assistance to the following projects:
- Provided tax abatement assistance to small and large businesses wanting to expand in the county 2010.
- Three new businesses located in county (Greatbatch Medical, Miller Consulting Group, & Level 3 Inspection.
- Established a Business Retention & Expansion Committee to visit county-wide businesess and offer assistance/incentives to help them retain jobs and continue to go and create new jobs.
- KEDC Marketing/Attraction Committee is working on services/support programs for entrepreneurs for 2010 and beyond.
- KEDC Infrastructure Committee conducted a county-wide infrastructure needs survey/assessment. They are also studing the need for High Speed Rail for our county.
- Provided expansion assistance to OrthoPediatrics and BDI Engineering in 2008.
On-going Projects:
- Provides a resource of technical support for local governments, nonprofit organizations, and private business
- Provides information regarding community development funding options for local government units in Kosciusko County
